The kick-off meeting of the project “Improving the Employability of People with Hearing Impairments - proHear” 2017-1-PL01-KA202-038756 took place in Lodz, Poland on 21-22 November 2017, hosted by Polish Association of the Deaf Lodz Department. It was attended by 9 representatives from the 6 partner organizations. The main focus of the first transnational meeting was to present all partners with the main elements of the project including proHear overview; intellectual outputs and the forthcoming steps in the development of IO 1 Survey and Gap Analysis. The project management and implementation and the financial management were also reviewed providing information on the main requirements of the Erasmus + Programme and the project coordinator - University of Social Science (SAN). The vision for the dissemination and exploitation activities to be conducted during the proHear lifetime was also presented and discussed. Apart from that, all partners had the opportunity to get to know each other, their organizations, and the situation of the hearing impaired people in each partner country. The first meeting provided the foundations for the future successful partnership whereas the conducted discussions formed the basis of the work that will be carried out in the next 24 months.
